You also got a German label, don’t you?

Yeah, we have a European label called SPV.

I had to go over the American way [for the interview] because… I don’t know… the German label doesn’t promote your record here. I’ve got the impression at least right now.

Die Punkrock-Band aus den Niederlanden legt viel Wert auf Eigenständigkeit, macht (fast) alles selbst, und hat damit beachtlichen Erfolg. So ist es wenig verwunderlich. dass die Sänger von Strike Anywhere und Boysetsfire gerne am neuen Album mitgearbeitet haben. Warum das dennoch nicht einfach war? Lest selbst.

Hi, how are you?

I’m doing good. I have the impression, that your sound is even faster right now.

Yeah, I think we speed it up a little bit. When we started writing the record we had the intention to write better songs and I think he eventually they ended up being a little faster as well, even though there’s still some slower songs on the album as well and a bit more poppier and a bit more accessible but I think in average the album is a bit faster than the last one.

Im Mai haben wir mit Wraths sprechen dürfen, dem neuen Projekt mit Pennywise Sänger Jim Lindberg. Er ist aber nicht der einzige Promi in der Band, denn mit dabei sind auch Chris Kranes (1208, The Darlings), Andrew Murphy (The Darlings)  und Steve McCall (1208). You are now here with a new project founded, Wraths, and you’ve got a very famous singer, Jim Lindberg from Pennywise, singing here. Is there something you want to make different in the new project Wraths?

Yeah, I kind of wanted to revisit music that influenced us. You know the old bands like Black Flag and the Descendents, Circle Jerks.

How did you guys know each other? I mean, you’re a new band right now.

Such Gold aus Rochester, New York, haben sich in den Staaten bereits den Ruf einer guten Liveband erspielt. Gerade erst wurde eine Tour mit Millencolin gespielt. Einen Monat vorher waren sie bei uns auf Tour und sich für Pedal To The Metal aufzeichnen lassen.
